A compact, rugged submersible handheld VHF that features all International, USA and Canadian channels and a highly legible LCD display. It features a dedicated channel 9/16 button. Programmable scan allows you to scan any number of channels and the preset key allows you to recall the 8 most frequently used channels.

The huge LCD display features large, clear digits and bold information flags including battery life indicator. The LCD and keypad are backlit for optimum night visibility.

Supplied with a 1400mAh Nickel Metal Hydride battery that will give over 16hrs use*, the HX270E also includes a waterproof alkaline battery tray allowing you to use it with standard AA type alkaline batteries. Also supplied is a drop-in cradle charger, DC cabe and AC mains charger.

Engineered for unparalleled reliability, the HX270E has been designed to exceed JIS waterproofing standards of submersion in up to 1m of water for 30 minutes.
